Assist. Prof Ni Luh Gede Rai Ayu Saraswati
Ni Luh Gede Rai Ayu Saraswati, S.Pi., M.EnvSc., is a permanent lecturer in the Aquatic Resource Management Study Program, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University. With a Master of Environmental Science degree from the University of Western Australia, she specializes deeply in marine pollution, specifically regarding the distribution and impact of microplastics on aquatic biota. Her research track record includes monitoring water quality in critical ecosystems such as estuaries and lakes, as well as marine biology studies focusing on mangrove ecosystem health and benthic diversity. As an active researcher, her work has been published in highly reputable international journals, including the Marine Pollution Bulletin. In addition to teaching, she is active in community service activities to improve coastal economic capacity. Through a multidisciplinary approach, Saraswati is dedicated to providing science-based solutions to the problems of plastic waste and the degradation of aquatic environmental quality at both national and international levels.
