I DEWA NYOMAN NURWEDA PUTRA
I am a lecturer and researcher in marine remote sensing, specializing in monitoring ocean and coastal conditions and analyzing the impacts of climate change using satellite-based observations. My research interests include sea surface temperature (SST), chlorophyll-a concentration, water quality, ocean currents and wave dynamics, as well as shoreline change and sea-level rise. Using various satellite platforms, including Sentinel-2, Sentinel-3, Landsat, and MODIS, I process and extract biophysical parameters to understand marine environmental variability at daily, seasonal, and interannual scales. I am experienced in utilizing Google Earth Engine, Python, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to perform image preprocessing, time-series analysis, anomaly detection, and algorithm development that support the study of climate-related phenomena such as ENSO, the Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD), and Kelvin waves that influence the Indonesian region. My research aims to provide accurate, data-driven scientific information with strong methodological rigor, making it applicable for coastal resource management, disaster mitigation, and climate change adaptation.
