About The Program

The Marine Science Study Program at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Udayana University, was established through several developmental stages. The initial initiator and founder of the Marine Science Study Program at Udayana University was pioneered by Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Bakta, Sp.PD (KHOM), who also served as the Rector of Udayana University for the 2009-2013 period. This idea was finalized with the establishment of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries at Udayana University, located at the Unud Bukit Jimbaran Campus.

The idea of establishing the Marine Science Study Program gained increasing support from various parties, including Yamaguchi University and Chiba University in Japan. After preparation and several evaluation stages, the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of National Education finally issued the Permit to Organize the Marine Science Study Program (Bachelor's/S1) at Udayana University in Denpasar, through the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 47/E/O/2012 dated February 3, 2012.

The Marine Science Study Program at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries is committed to becoming a study program capable of improving academic studies in the marine and fisheries fields by producing superior human resources. Udayana University's success in producing high-quality graduates in the marine and fisheries fields will be an added value for the largest university in Bali towards becoming a world-class university.

Duration of Study

Bachelor's candidates in the Marine Science Study Program are required to take a minimum of 144 Credits (SKS) over 8 semesters of study, equivalent to 4 academic years.
