The vast potential of aquatic resources; encompassing Indonesia's freshwater and coastal-marine waters requires human resources capable of managing these resources and competing in accordance with the times. The quality of human resources with fisheries and marine competencies is needed to improve the operational quality of various institutions engaged in aquatic resource management, including individuals, amidst various criticisms regarding the performance of Indonesia's human resources. To accelerate the fulfillment of the need for fisheries and marine graduates, especially in the central Indonesian region, the establishment of the "Aquatic Resource Management Study Program" is highly strategic, synergistic, and necessary to cultivate our vast aquatic resources. The establishment of the Aquatic Resource Management Study Program at Udayana University will improve the quality of the nation's human resources and national competitiveness by balancing economic development and the development of the fisheries sector.
