A PLATFORM FOR TALENT AND ACHIEVEMENT IN THE SPORTS AND ART FESTIVAL: THE 62ND ANNIVERSARY OF UDAYANA UNIVERSITY, ALONGSIDE MARFISH ROAD TO DIES

In celebration of the 62nd anniversary of Udayana University, the Student Executive Body of the Udayana University Student Government organized the 62nd Dies Natalis Sports and Arts Festival, chaired by Bagus Ramadan. This event was successfully held with the theme "Prati Gamadhikari Baswara Udayana" from September 12 to October 29, 2024. "This year, the PORSENI (Sports and Arts Week) for Udayana University's 62nd Dies Natalis, we strive to provide a better and more festive experience for all faculties, combining the spirit of sports competition and artistic creativity to strengthen unity and enhance the talents of Udayana students in various fields," he added.

The 62nd Dies Natalis Sports and Arts Festival was filled with energy and enthusiasm from Udayana University students. The event was enlivened by thousands of students from the 13 faculties at Udayana University, including the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, which participated under the Marfish Road to Dies committee. The event featured 11 sports categories, divided into competitions and tournaments. The competition sports included Basketball, Futsal, Badminton, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Billiards, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Chess. The tournament sports included Jegeg Bagus Udayana, PUBG Mobile, Contemporary Dance, Solo Vocals, and Vocal Groups. The total contingent from the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries consisted of 66 members, along with other students who supported the team as spectators, including alumni who cheered from the stands during the matches.

Each faculty formed a Formateur Team consisting of a Person in Charge and an Assistant to represent the faculty in making decisions for the activities. The Person in Charge for Marfish Road to Dies was Elsadai Maharani from Marine Science 2022, with Assistant I Kadek Wiratama from Marine Science 2023. At the beginning of the event, Formateur Team Meetings I to IV were held to discuss the Technical Guidelines and Implementation Guidelines for each sport from the 13 faculties. Then, a Results Seminar was held as the final decision for all sports categories from all faculties. Following this, a technical meeting for the Grand Opening and the Solo and Group Vocal competitions was held. In September, several sports competitions took place, including Solo Vocals, Group Vocals, Basketball, and Futsal. In October, other sports such as PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legends Bang-Bang, Contemporary Dance, Chess, Billiards, Badminton, Pro Evolution Soccer, and Jegeg Bagus Udayana were held. Each sport had a technical meeting three days before its implementation to inform the contingent about the technicalities of the event.

This activity was not just a competition but also a means to strengthen the bond of brotherhood among all members of the academic community. It is hoped that this event can be an effective platform to explore the potential and creativity of students, while promoting a healthy competitive spirit that will produce talented and well-rounded young generations, particularly students from the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries.

In the final results, the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries contingent achieved 3rd place in the Mobile Legends Bang Bang competition. High appreciation is extended to the contingent for their hard work and for earning points for the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries at Udayana University!
