Closing of the PPK Ormawa Himmaspera Activities in Kedonganan Village, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University 2024

After conducting a community service program from July to October 2024, the implementing team of PPK Ormawa Himmaspera, under the project titled “OPTIMIZATION OF FISHERMEN COMMUNITY WELFARE THROUGH UMKM-BASED TONGBARA SAMBAL PRODUCTS IN KEDONGANAN, BALI”, officially held the closing ceremony on Thursday, November 14, 2024, on the 3rd floor of the Kedonganan Village Office, Kuta District, Badung Regency.

The event was attended by the Advisor of Himmaspera, who also serves as the Supervising Lecturer of PPK Ormawa Himmaspera, the Head of Kedonganan Village, representatives from the Kedonganan Community Empowerment Institution, the Chairperson of Wana Segara Kertih Group, and several members of the group.

The program commenced with a report from the Project Leader, Ainurrochim Wicaksana, who highlighted the activities carried out over the past four months. He stated, “Together with the Wana Segara Kertih Group, we have conducted processing sessions approximately eight times, complemented by innovative activities aimed at preserving the environment in Kedonganan.”

Following this, speeches were delivered by the Chairperson of Wana Segara Kertih, I Nyoman Sunarta, and the Head of Kedonganan Village, I Kadek Laksana, S.E., MAP. Both expressed a similar sentiment of gratitude and appreciation. The Head of Kedonganan Village remarked, “The group and the village extend our gratitude for the students' efforts in processing tuna into ready-to-sell products, which can serve as an additional source of income for the Kedonganan community. We encourage the students to continue their dedication to community service, and we hope that programs advancing the village will persist.”

The final speech was delivered by the Advisor of Himmaspera and Supervising Lecturer of PPK Ormawa Himmaspera, Ayu Putu Wiweka Krisna Dewi, S.ST.Pi., MP, who has supported the program since its inception. She stated, “I hope this program positively impacts the Kedonganan community. Please continue innovating with the TongBara Sambal to ensure sustainable tuna processing and additional income for the Wana Segara Kertih Group. Thank you for welcoming our students, and we apologize for any shortcomings on our part.” The speech concluded with three taps of the microphone, symbolizing the official closure of the program.

The event ended with the presentation of plaques and certificates of appreciation to the Wana Segara Kertih Group and the Head of Kedonganan Village, followed by a group photo session. With this, the Program Penguatan Kapasitas Organisasi Kemahasiswaan (PPK Ormawa) of Himmaspera was officially closed, leaving a positive impression on the community.
