Introducing Blue Campus Closer, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries Unud socialization visit to high school in West Bali.

The Faculty of Marine sciences and Fisheries (FKP) is the youngest faculty in Udayana University. However, this fact did not dampen the intention of the FKP community to continue to grow, this was marked by the creation of a new study program, namely aquaculture and a master's degree in Marine Technology, following the previously existing study program, namely Marine Science and Aquatic Resource Management.


November 17, 2023, the Faculty of Marine sciences and Fisheries of Udayana University (FKP UNUD) through the Information Management and Cooperation Unit (UPIKS) visited high schools in West Bali (Jembrana). The high schools visited were SMAN 1 Negara and SMKN 1 Negara. This visit also aims to open the insight of class XII students regarding potential further study options after graduating from high school.


Furthermore, the activity continued with the presentation and opening by the Chairperson of UPIKS Mrs. Dewa Ayu Angga Pebriani regarding the 'Introduction of Udayana University and the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries' directly by the Chairperson of UPIKS FKP UNUD. In the presentation, the Chairperson of UPIKS introduced Udayana University in general. Then specifically the explanation continued with the introduction of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries such as the development of infrastructure, facilities and academic activities within FKP UNUD. The Head of UPIKS FKP UNUD also introduced the Study Program in FKP UNUD, namely the Marine Science and Aquatic Resource Management Study Program. At the end of the presentation, the Head of UPIKS FKP UNUD also explained the types of entry points for prospective students applying to FKP UNUD.


Students listened to the presentation enthusiastically and interactively. The discussion session was conducive between students and speakers. The activity ended with the handover of souvenirs by FKP Unud and a group photo.
