Jembrana Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic Benchmarking Quality Assurance System at the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries
Jembrana Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic is one of the partners of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries (FMF). On Monday, December 16, 2024, the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries hosted a visit from the Jembrana Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic for a benchmarking activity related to their quality assurance system in preparation for program reaccreditation. The activity was attended by four lecturers from the Polytechnic and three lecturers from the FMF.
I Gusti Ayu Budiadnyani, S.Pi., M.Si., Vice Director I of the Polytechnic, explained the purpose of their visit to FMF. She mentioned that, considering the Marine Science program at FMF has achieved an "Excellent" accreditation rating, the Polytechnic identified FMF as an ideal reference for their benchmarking efforts. This initiative was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Nuarsa, M.Si.
The event continued with a discussion session between the Quality Assurance team of the Polytechnic and FMF. The Head of FMF's Quality Assurance Unit highlighted several crucial aspects to prepare, including human resources data, student involvement in the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, tracer studies, student GPAs, publications, and partnerships. All required documents must be prepared and completed before the field visitation. Additionally, potential future collaborative activities were also discussed.
At the end of the event, Vice Director I of the Polytechnic presented a plaque to the Head of FMF's Quality Assurance Unit as a token of appreciation.
