Marine Science Study Programme
The Marine Science Study Programme at the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries, Udayana University was formed through several developments. The initial initiator and founder of the Marine Science Study Program at Udayana University was pioneered by Prof. Dr. dr. I Made Bakta, Sp.PD (KHOM) who also served as Rector of Udayana University for the 2009-2013 period. This idea was finalised with the establishment of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries of Udayana University which is located at the Bukit Jimbaran Campus of Unud.The idea of establishing a Marine Science Study Programme increasingly received support from various parties, including from Yamaguci University and Chiba University Japan. After the preparation and through several stages of evaluation, the Directorate General of Higher Education (Ditjen Dikti) of the Ministry of National Education finally issued a Permit for the Implementation of the Marine Science Study Program (S1) at Udayana University in Denpasar, with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 47/E/O/2012 Dated 03 February 2012.

The Marine Science Study Programme of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries is committed to becoming a study programme that is able to improve academic studies in the field of marine and fisheries by producing superior human resources in the field of marine and fisheries. The success of Udayana University in producing quality graduates in the field of marine and fisheries science will be an added value for the largest university in Bali towards a world class university.
The vision of the Marine Science Study Programme is:
"To become an educational institution capable of creating human resources in the field of marine science that is superior, independent and cultured, both at the local, national and international levels."
Meanwhile, the mission of the Udayana University Marine Science Study Programme is:

Duration of S1 Marine Science Study ProgrammeBachelor candidates in the Marine Science Study Programme must take a minimum of 144 credits in 8 semesters of lectures or the equivalent of 4 academic years.
