Faculty Building

History

The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FKP) is the youngest faculty at Udayana University (UNUD), established on October 10, 2011, by Rector's Decree Number 680/UN.14/HK/2011. FKP was established to ensure equal educational opportunities, improve quality, and ensure the relevance and efficiency of educational management in facing various challenges at the local, national, and global levels. As a higher education institution, FKP plays a significant role in advancing marine science and fisheries research and development. This faculty also focuses on preparing competent human resources with academic capabilities in marine science and fisheries, in line with Indonesia's vision as a maritime nation and as a contribution to national development.

At its inception, FKP had only one study program, the Bachelor of Marine Science, inaugurated on February 3, 2012. In 2013, FKP received an operational permit to establish the Bachelor of Aquatic Resource Management Study Program, issued on April 12, 2013. In 2024, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology issued operational permits for two new study programs: the Aquaculture Undergraduate Program and the Marine Science Master's Program. This development demonstrates FKP's commitment to expanding the range of scientific fields taught and improving the quality of education at the international level.
