Program Objectives
The Master of Marine Science Study Program aims to:
- Produce graduates with comprehensive analytical skills in the marine field.
- Produce graduates capable of developing the latest marine science and technology innovations.
- Produce graduates with the ability to initiate and develop marine science and technology innovations.
- Organize education that aligns academic ethics with local and international cultural values.
- Produce graduates who have a reputation and contribution at the local, national, and international levels.
Program Strengths
Strategic Location
Based at the Jimbaran Campus with direct access to prime marine and coastal ecosystems, such as the Lombok Strait, Bali Strait, and coral reef ecosystems on the North Coast of Bali.
World Tourism Hub
Based in Bali, supporting the development of world-class marine ecotourism through collaboration between academics, government, society, and the tourism industry.
Technology-Based Curriculum
Designed to strengthen marine analytical and modeling skills, equipped with remote sensing, GIS, and marine data analysis.
National & International Networks
The study program is supported by research networks and collaborations with various national institutions and leading foreign universities.
Graduate Profile & Competencies
Graduates of the Master of Marine Science Program are prepared as scientists, academics, and professionals in the marine field. This program specializes in marine modeling through Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for future marine solutions.
- Mastering marine ecology principles and the latest technology in mapping and environmental data management.
- Capable of planning, implementing, and analyzing sustainable marine ecotourism policies.
- Capable of solving marine environmental problems based on research, including monitoring and mitigating the impact of tourism on marine ecosystems through interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches.
- Capable of communicating research results and thoughts in the field of marine and conservation to support the development of marine ecotourism.
