The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FKP) Unud offers educational programs focusing on the Blue Economy and zero-waste approaches. We manage four study programs:

• Bachelor of Marine Science (Excellent Accreditation): Focuses on the study of bio-oceanography, marine meteorology, ecotourism, and molecular genetics.
• Bachelor of Aquatic Resource Management (MSP): Focuses on open system aquatic ecology, coastal restoration, and sustainable fisheries governance.
• Bachelor of Aquaculture: Oriented towards advanced aquaculture technology based on artificial intelligence (AI), IoT, and fisheries genetics.
• Master of Marine Science: A specific postgraduate program for advanced maritime researchers and strategic planners.

The payment system uses a progressive Single Tuition Fee (UKT) structure adjusted to the family's socio-economic capabilities. The UKT categories per semester are:

• UKT 1: IDR 500,000
• UKT 2: IDR 1,000,000
• UKT 3: IDR 2,000,000
• UKT 4: IDR 3,000,000
• UKT 5: IDR 4,000,000

New student admissions are conducted through three pathways: SNBP (based on report card/portfolio achievements), SNBT (national written test), and Independent Pathway for Achievement Scholarships (independent selection based on science olympiad/other achievements).

For outstanding students with economic limitations, FKP Unud facilitates the KIP Kuliah program, which fully waives the UKT and provides a monthly living allowance. In addition, there are private/philanthropic donor partners such as the Sobat Bumi Scholarship (Pertamina), Bakti BCA, and Bank Lestari.

No. Diving certification is not required upon enrollment. However, to support field research capacity, students are encouraged to participate in training through the Student Activity Unit (UKM) Baruna Scientific Diving Club (BASIC). BASIC organizes subsidized international standard Open Water Diver certifications at a cost of approximately IDR 4,000,000 (including SCUBA gear rental, accommodation, and practical transportation).

The faculty operates 4 main facilities (Marine Science, Fisheries Science, Remote Sensing & GIS, and Computational Laboratories) with working hours from Monday - Friday (08.00 - 16.00 WITA).

Disciplinary rules are strictly enforced; students wearing t-shirts, shorts, or sandals are prohibited from entering the facilities. Any form of equipment damage due to operational negligence is fully the responsibility of the user for compensation.

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program is actively executed through industry internships, independent studies, and Village Building (Bina Desa) community service. Through Bina Desa, students are deployed to address the problems of coastal communities, such as education on value-added fisheries processing to coral reef restoration. This activity is directly supported by a faculty operational grant of IDR 1,500,000 to IDR 3,000,000 per group activity.

FKP has five innovative Expertise Groups (KBK) as the main think-tanks that are very open to industry collaboration schemes (quadruple helix). Commercializable research focuses include:

• Economic valuation of Blue Carbon in mangrove and seagrass ecosystems.
• Automation of coastal bio-detection with Machine/Deep Learning.
• Maggot-based waste bioconversion and Biofloc technology.
• Integration of Smart Fisheries governance through the Vessel Monitoring System (VMS).

Certainly. We continue to establish active Cooperation Agreements (PKS) with the industry. The curriculum requires final-year students to participate in standardized professional internships. The faculty currently has a track record of channeling internship research personnel with various well-known entities, such as the Indonesian Lobster Entrepreneurs Association (GPLI), PT Seasix Energy, and the MDPI Foundation.

FKP Unud publishes academic journals including the Journal of Marine and Aquatic Sciences (JMAS), Current Trends in Aquatic Science (CTAS), and the Journal of Aquaculture Research (JAR). Globally, the faculty has active partnerships (MoUs) for research exchange, student exchange, and cross-continental technology transfer with institutions such as JAMSTEC (Japan), Pukyong National University (South Korea), and Rostock University (Germany).

Alumni tracking data (Tracer Study) shows that more than 72% of graduates successfully obtain relevant employment within less than six months post-graduation. With graduates' cumulative GPA consistently above 3.60, FKP alumni hold crucial positions as coastal climate analysts, conservation researchers in NGOs, government employees (KKP/BRIN), seafood industry Quality Control, to pioneers of modern aquaculture startups (Aquapreneur).
