Mentored Village

Target Villages of the Faculty of Marine Sciences and Fisheries

FKP's community assistance and outreach programs span six target villages/sub-districts across various regencies in Bali, with activity focuses tailored to the marine and fisheries potential of each region.

JEMBRANA
Budeng Village
Jembrana Regency
Focus Areas: Preservation of river ecosystems (restocking milkfish fry), education on processed fishery product diversification (such as tilapia processing), and the development of local inland and coastal fisheries potential.
BADUNG
Sembung Village
Mengwi District, Badung Regency
Focus Areas: Development of freshwater fish farmers groups, optimization of feed management, and implementation of modern technologies like probiotic applications in catfish aquaculture.
BADUNG
Kedonganan Sub-district
Kuta District, Badung Regency
Focus Areas: Empowering coastal communities and traditional fishermen groups through the MBKM Village Assistance program, education on seafood catch quality, and sustainable coastal zone management.
KARANGASEM
Seraya Timur Village
Karangasem Regency
Focus Areas: Post-harvest handling training for marine catches (such as mackerel tuna processing to enhance quality and economic value) and community support for fishing communities in coastal Karangasem.
BULELENG
Musi Village
Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency
Focus Areas: Socialization and education on integrating eco-friendly aquaculture systems in limited spaces, including aquaponics and hydroponics applications.
KARANGASEM
Purwakerti Village
Abang District, Karangasem Regency
Focus Areas: Marine-based community development centered on underwater ecosystem conservation (such as coral reef monitoring and restoration), sustainable marine tourism development (in the Amed coastal area), and training for local tour guide and fishing groups.
