Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University, Celebrates Its 14th Anniversary with the Spirit of Synergy and Collaboration
Jimbaran, October 10, 2025 — A vibrant atmosphere filled the campus of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries (FKP), Udayana University, on Friday morning as the entire academic community gathered at the Samudra Building, Bukit Jimbaran, to celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, held in conjunction with the annual event BKFKP 14.
The celebration began early with a fun walk and morning exercise, creating positive energy among lecturers, staff, students, and faculty partners. The event continued with visits to the Scientific Fair, where innovative student works and collaborative projects with industry partners were enthusiastically showcased.
The main session at the Samudra Hall opened with an inspiring presentation from Bank Indonesia, the main sponsor of the event, highlighting the importance of financial literacy and collaboration in developing the marine and fisheries sector. The official opening ceremony featured the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, the Udayana Hymn, and an impressive traditional opening dance, marking the start of a meaningful day of celebration.
In his remarks, the Chair of the BKFKP 14 Committee expressed heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, followed by speeches from the Dean of the Faculty and the Rector of Udayana University, who emphasized the importance of synergy among academia, industry, and society. The highlight of the event was the tumpeng-cutting ceremony, symbolizing gratitude for 14 years of FKP’s dedication and contribution to education, research, and community service.
The celebration also featured a farewell ceremony for Ir. I Gusti Ngurah Dirgayusa, M.T. and I Dewa Gede Wijaya, S.Sos., honoring their years of service and devotion to the faculty. The event continued with the Awarding Ceremony for Outstanding Lecturers and Staff, recognizing Dr. Pande Gde Sasmita Julyantoro, S.Si., M.Si. as the Outstanding Lecturer and Eka Ari Sutrisnawati as the Best Administrative Staff, along with the presentation of the Marfish Bangga Award to outstanding students.
In addition to support from Bank Indonesia – Bali Province, the celebration was enriched by the participation of the Bali Maritime Forum (Forum Maritim Bali – FMB), which delivered a special session to inspire students and strengthen their role in Indonesia’s maritime sector.

Under the theme of “Togetherness and Collaboration,” the 14th BKFKP celebration stands as a symbol of the enduring “Blue Spirit” of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries — a spirit that will continue to sail forward toward new horizons of excellence and innovation.
