Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries Udayana University Holds International Guest Lecture on Fisheries Diplomacy
The Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries (FMSF), Udayana University, continues to strengthen its international academic atmosphere by organizing an International Guest Lecture featuring an academic from Arizona State University, United States, Dr. Steven Saul.
The lecture is delivered under the theme “Fisheries Diplomacy: Capacity Building while Exploring Biological, Economic and Nutritional Trade-offs in Indonesia’s Demersal Finfish Fisheries”, highlighting the strategic role of fisheries diplomacy in the sustainable management of Indonesia’s demersal finfish resources by integrating biological, economic, and nutritional perspectives.

The session will be moderated by I Nyoman Giri Putra, S.Pd., M.Si., a lecturer at the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Udayana University. The presence of Dr. Steven Saul is expected to broaden the academic community’s understanding of global fisheries diplomacy while offering new perspectives on capacity building for human resources in Indonesia’s marine and fisheries sector.
This International Guest Lecture is open to lecturers and the academic community of the Faculty of Marine Science and Fisheries, Udayana University, as part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to promote academic internationalization and strengthen global collaboration in marine and fisheries sciences.
