Greenovation: Green Innovation for the Campus of the Future – A New Activity to Enliven the 12th Anniversary Celebration of MSP

The Student Association of Aquatic Resources Management (Himmaspera) once again held a series of events to celebrate the 12th Anniversary of the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, also known as UTSA DVASA, through a new initiative called the Green Project. This activity took place on Friday, March 21, 2025, in the courtyard of the Samudra Building, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University.

The Green Project aimed to beautify the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, create a greener and cooler campus environment, raise awareness about the importance of cleanliness, and foster a sense of togetherness and mutual cooperation. The activity was attended by active students from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 academic years.

In his opening remarks, Farhan Yudhistira, Vice Chair of the UTSA DVASA organizing committee, stated the goals of the Green Project: “To create harmony between students and lecturers, foster a sense of togetherness among participants, and show students’ care and concern for our beloved faculty.” The remarks were followed by an address from the Head of the Aquatic Resources Management Study Program, Dr. Ir. Nyoman Dati Pertami, SP., M.Si., who officially opened the Green Project event.

The Green Project activities began with tree planting and area cleanup around the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries. Tree planting was conducted at nine designated points around the Samudra Building. A variety of plants were planted to enhance the beauty of the area, including frangipani trees (jepun), key lime trees, and various ornamental plants. After the planting session, the event continued with games participated in by both students and lecturers from the 2022, 2023, and 2024 batches.

The competition division organized three fun games. The first game involved stacking cups into a pyramid, the second was "take out the ball," and the third was a water volleyball game. All three games were carried out with great enthusiasm and laughter!

Josef, a student from the 2024 cohort, shared his impression:
"The games were fun and tested our teamwork."
Meanwhile, Ms. Wiweka, a lecturer who also took part in the games, commented:
"These games required collaboration and precision in order to win."

The event concluded with a group photo session in the lobby of the Samudra Building, capturing the joyful moments shared by all participating students and lecturers.
