Sparkling Grand Night of the 12th MSP Anniversary: Celebrating 12 Years of a Colorful Journey

On Saturday, April 12, 2025, the final event of the 12th Anniversary of the Aquatic Resource Management Study Program (MSP) was held in the form of a grand night celebration. This year’s grand night took place at Go Home Hospitality. A variety of performances and interactive activities successfully created a lively and unforgettable evening. Through captivating shows and active participation from the academic community, the event showcased cultural richness, artistic expression, and student creativity in many forms. The warm camaraderie and high enthusiasm were felt throughout the venue, reflecting a strong spirit in celebrating this special moment.

The event was attended by lecturers and active students of the Aquatic Resource Management Study Program. It began with an opening by the MC, followed by a report on the MSP 12th Anniversary by Melani Aglita as the Chief Organizer, a speech from Uni Putri as the Chairperson of Himmaspera, continued by a speech from Ms. Ayu Putu Wiweka Krisna Dewi, S.ST.Pi., MP as the Advisor of Himmaspera, and the final remarks from Dr. Ir. Nyoman Dati Pertami, S.P., M.Si. In her speech, Ms. Ayu Putu Wiweka expressed her hopes for the MSP Program in its 12th year to become even better, producing high-achieving students both academically and non-academically, and generating quality alumni who are experts in their field—aligning with the motto of Udayana University: “Excellent, Independent, and Cultured.”

After the speeches, a symbolic ceremony was held, including a tumpeng cutting ritual, birthday song performance, and group photo session.

The event continued with the announcement and awarding of winners from the series of MSP 12th Anniversary competitions, starting with Mobile Legends, the Green Project, and the Hasta Karya competition. After the award ceremony, the first performance featured lecturers singing together accompanied by karaoke instruments with three songs. This was followed by performances from student representatives of the 2022, 2023, and 2024 cohorts. Their impressive singing voices delighted the audience, who sang along joyfully. Excitement escalated with a door prize drawing, featuring fun and useful gifts.

Monang, an active student from the 2024 cohort, shared his impression: “The event was great and fun. Happy anniversary to MSP!” The night concluded with a DJ performance that energized the entire crowd for two hours, serving as the closing act of the 12th Anniversary Grand Night. The celebration ended with a group photo session of all active MSP students and the collective chant of the MSP slogan: “Explore the Waters, Master the Ocean, Aquatic Salutations!”
