“Performance Meeting, Designing Synergy: Realizing Quality Student Organizations” Held as Part of the 2025 Institutional Gathering
The Student Representative Council once again organized a series of events known as the Institutional Gathering. The Institutional Gathering was held on Saturday, June 14, 2025, in the Batur Room, 4th Floor, Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University. This activity aimed to foster collaboration among all organizations and evaluate the performance of each organization within the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries at Udayana University.
The event was attended by Core Members and Functionaries of the Student Representative Council (DPM), Student Executive Board (BEM), Marine Science Student Association (HIMASILA), Aquatic Resource Management Student Association (HIMMASPERA), Baruna Scientific Diving Club (BASIC), and the Semi-Autonomous Body Marfish Preneur (BSO Mapren).
The event began with remarks from the Chairperson of the Committee, Ni Nyoman Suryadewi, who emphasized that the Institutional Gathering is not merely a ceremonial event, but a real space for action that encourages each organization to actively voice ideas and establish collaboration. In her speech, she expressed her hope that this event would strengthen inter-organizational relationships, build a spirit of mutual support, and foster a sense of togetherness as part of the large family of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries.
Next, the opening speech was delivered by Michael Pranata Hutabarat, Chairperson of the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries. In his remarks, he expressed his hope that the organizations would develop healthy communication among each other and be open to receiving suggestions and input to improve and advance their work programs.
The event continued with presentation sessions where each organization's chairperson conveyed the performance results of their respective organizations. They shared information about their functionaries and their responsibilities, as well as the work programs that had been carried out and those planned for the future.
This was followed by the reading of questionnaire results by Gracella Marissa Sitorus, who served as the moderator. She presented three key aspects: the level of student understanding regarding the existence and function of organizations, the alignment between program targets and student needs, and constructive suggestions and feedback from respondents for future organizational development. Through this presentation, each organization was expected to accept evaluations openly, use them for improvement, and enhance the relevance of their programs to meet the actual needs of students in the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries.
Following the presentation of the questionnaire results, a group discussion among the organizations was held. In a respectful and constructive atmosphere, representatives from each organization shared responses, exchanged views, and discussed collaborative steps to address criticisms and suggestions raised by students. This discussion forum also served as a means to strengthen synergy among organizations in order to create a supportive student organization ecosystem that does not operate in isolation.
The event received positive responses from the organizations within the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, with many expressing appreciation and gratitude for providing a platform that accommodated student aspirations toward the organizations and served as a joint discussion forum.
To conclude the series of events, all organization representatives participated in a group photo session. This moment symbolized unity and commitment to continuous growth as part of the big family of the Faculty of Marine and Fisheries, Udayana University. The committee chairperson expressed hope that this activity would mark the beginning of positive change, strengthen inter-organizational relationships, and cultivate a more open, collaborative organizational culture oriented toward meaningful contributions for students.
